Mail is brought to the islands by the boat called the Marion Dufresne II. The boat supplies the three subantarctic islands (Crozet, Kerguelen and Amsterdam) and passes 4 times a year. The mail then arrives on Amsterdam Island by helicopter.

All mail, from all countries, transits through Paris before being sent to la Réunion.

Do not use Chronopost, Colissimo or anything requiring an acknowledgement of receipt, as no one is able to sign anything. 
Just send it as normal post :)

If you are sending a letter or a parcel from France : 
To be sure, a parcel should be sent 3 weeks before the boat leaves la Réunion (see calendar below). 

If you are not sending from France :
To be sure your parcel arrives on time, make sure you take into account the time needed for your mail to reach France. It should arrive in France 3 weeks before the boat leaves la Réunion (see calendar below).

If you're sending a parcel,make sure it's very well protected. It will be going through a rough journey !

The stamp should be for la Reunion (no need for extra stamps for it to reach the subantarctic islands).
